The road passes through small, traditional villages that feel timeless, winds along dramatic green gorges, and gradually opens into wide natural landscapes. Rather than a long commute, the journey feels like a slow nature road trip that gently transitions the group out of routine and into presence. This makes Elafonissi especially suitable for a dedicated retreat day: leaving in the morning, arriving already softened by the drive, and spending unhurried time by the sea. At the beach, shallow turquoise waters and pale sand create a light, open, and calming environment. The wide shoreline allows space for walking, resting, swimming, or quiet group moments, without feeling crowded or rushed. Balos Lagoon About 20–25 minutes’ drive from the retreat center to the harbor, followed by a boat excursion from 10:00 to 17:00, a full-day experience. Lake Kournas About 1 hour and 15 minutes’ drive from the retreat center. A peaceful freshwater lake surrounded by green hills and open landscapes — rare in Crete and deeply calming in its presence. An ideal setting for gentle activities, reflection, quiet time in nature, or a soft excursion day that supports rest, integration, and spaciousness within the retreat journey.
About 35 minutes’ drive from the retreat center. A gentle walk through green mountain paths, surrounded by trees, plants, medicinal herbs, and ecological diversityת learning that happens through movement, breath, and observation. The gardens were created after a major fire in the early 2000s, choosing renewal over restoration: a living space that tells a story of growth, diversity, and hope. At the heart of the route lies a quiet lake, home to birds and animals, offering a natural pause for rest, reflection, or simply being in nature.

Beyond the private desks in each apartment, we have several shared areas: the large terrace, the garden-view work counter, and we can even set up a dedicated workspace in the building’s entrance hall for team collaboration. If you need a more formal setting, we can arrange a meeting table in our spacious Sea Star apartment to fit your team’s specific requirements.
Our special monthly rates (28+ days) are all-inclusive (water, electricity, high-speed Wi-Fi). Please note: The price is per apartment, and it remains the same whether you stay solo or as a couple (all units feature a comfortable double bed).
There is a charming local mini-market (Aristea’s) with some very basic products during winter, and traditional tavernas within walking distance, that are open on weekends. For larger supermarket runs in Kolymbari (7km), we recommend a car. We offer a small on-site rental car for your convenience. Please note: Rental is subject to availability and our rental terms: a valid driver’s license recognized in Greece, minimum age of 24, and at least 2 years of driving experience. This makes errands and local exploration very easy and stress-free.”
Yes. Each apartment has a drying rack on the balcony—and since Crete enjoys many sunny days even in winter, air-drying is often the best option. If you need our laundry services, we offer a washing machine service (up to 10kg) for €10 per load (including detergents), and a separate dryer service for an additional €10 per load. This is much more cost-effective than professional laundries in town, where you typically pay the same price for half the capacity, and it’s conveniently located right below your home
It depends on our occupancy at the time. We often have other digital nomads staying with us, offering a chance for company, though we cannot guarantee it. However, this is a perfect opportunity to invite your friends to join you! You can share this amazing experience together while each having your own private apartment.
